Elk Hunting Ranches
I got my Ruger 7mm- 08 last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Elsberry. My favorite rifle is my new Ruger Model 3 with the checkered sugar maple chambered in 357 Magnum and 7mm- 08.
A minor problem with the Ruger 357 Magnum is that it can’t be reloaded until all the magazine rounds have been expended. My second favorite caliber personally is just the 7mm- 08.
I will always remember my favorite hunt would have to be the first time I ever hunted the woods around Elsberry. I ordered my Ruger Model 3 in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Elsberry, Iowa. My friends and I like the 357 Magnum best for deer hunting.
For deer hunting I like the Burris 2.75 Scope better on my Ruger Model 3, and I’d be willing to bet that it’s a bit more robust than the Leupold. My most favorite rifle is everything made by Ruger.
