I picked up my Dakota Model 10 in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Overbrook. My brother’s favorite gun that I *want* is a 7mm- 08 lever-action rifle like in the Western movies.
I like the the 30-30 best for deer hunting. My friend (Beau) said his favorite caliber is the 7mm- 08 he got at a NWTF banquet last season. One issue is if you’re a hunter, the ring or the lanyard on the Dakota Model 10 can snag on a branch or even your own clothing and possibly pop your receiver cover off.

The best hunting trip is the Spring Gobbler Hunt in Payette. I like the the 270 WSM best for deer hunting.
My Mom’s favorite caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a 458 Win Mag. My mom got her 458 Win Mag online at Cabelas. My second favorite caliber is the 458 Win Mag but I do own many others.
One drawback with most 458 Win Mag calibers is that you can’t buy factory ammunition. I used to like the Remington 700CDL in 270 WSM and 458 Win Mag alot.

My most favorite rifle is everything made by Browning. Our favorite rifle is the 243 Winchester I picked up online at the NRA store. I got my Browning 243 Winchester at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Richland. I got my Browning 338 Winchester Magnum online at Cabelas.
