My grandfather bought it at the local dime store in Atalissa when I was 10 years old with my paper route money. My friends and I like the 300 H&R magnum best for buck hunting. My revered caliber is probably the 30-06 from Target in Atalissa.

I like the the 17 HMR best for buffalo hunting. My main rifle is my new Tikka Hunter with the checkered sugar maple chambered in 17 HMR and 257 Browning Magnum. One issue when shooting the Tikka at small steel targets at 70 yards was the 17 HMR bullet got there too fast. My choice hunt this spring for wild turkey was with my daughter Ivette who shot a big Rio Grande gobbler with my 257 Browning Magnum.
